From Massive Bone Loss to Reliable Reconstruction: Celebrating 30 Years of LINK MP

Celebrating 30 Years of Clinical Success
Our hip revision systems offer a wide range of implants and instrumentation, each designed to meet the unique needs of your patients. They provide the intraoperative flexibility needed for challenging revision arthroplasties, ensuring that surgeons are prepared for even the most difficult cases. The comprehensive LINK Hip Revision portfolio includes femoral and acetabular revision solutions, with each component designed to simplify the procedure. For three decades, the MP Reconstruction System has excelled in the treatment of significant bone defects, using a uniquely modular concept to deliver fast and reliable reconstruction with a streamlined, five-step workflow supported by just three instrument trays, saving time and resources.

Intraoperative Flexibility and Fast, Reliable Reconstruction
The modular MP Reconstruction System provides the intraoperative flexibility and confidence essential for successful revision surgery in severe bone loss cases. It allows you to adjust leg length, offset, and anteversion independently of the uncemented or cemented fixation of the stem, making it quick and easy to adapt to the anatomy and defect of each patient case. Its 2° tapered shaft with circumferential longitudinal ribs provides robust stability even in cases of extensive proximal bone loss, and a possibility for a surgeon to choose between a uncemented or cemented stem when bone integrity is compromised.

Wide Variety and Customized Solutions
Available in six lengths, each MP stem features a 3° curvature that follows the natural geometry of the femur. The PowerLock locking mechanism offers flexible stem length adjustment in 10 mm increments up to 30 mm without compromising distal fixation, and parameters such as anteversion or offset can be adjusted after implantation. The unique design of the MP Reconstruction System has delivered outstanding clinical results for decades, giving surgeons the confidence to tackle even the most complex anatomies.

Selected Materials and Low Inventory
To accommodate a variety of patient anatomies, the MP Reconstruction System is built with carefully selected materials and a wide range of sizes, while requiring minimal storage space. Each part of the system is designed to make your revision procedure easier and more efficient, ultimately resulting in better surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

What Surgeons Say about the MP Reconstruction System:

"LINK's MP Prosthesis is a reliable 'workhorse' when standard implants fail,
with a secure cylindrical modular connection, precise leg length adjustment
via spacer rings, and a cementing option for compromised isthmus conditions.
With the ability to expand to a push-through stem or total femur solution, it has
proven indispensable – most recently in the management of a multifragmentary
proximal femoral fracture
."

Prof. Dr. Georg Matziolis, Chief Physician, Waldkliniken Eisenberg, Germany

"After years of extensive use, I find the MP stem to be excellent for both routine and complex revisions, thanks to its proven conical design, minimal fixation requirements, and new proximal body design that simplifies the surgery. Its robust yet easy-to-use nature and compatibility with the MEGASYSTEM-C push-through stem give me confidence in challenging cases – such as limited bone support, periprosthetic fractures, or severely ectatic femurs – by providing a simple, reproducible solution when no other implant will work."

Dr. Pablo San Ruiz, Orthopedic Surgeon, Gregorio Marañon Hospital, Madrid, Spain
